About Lake Toba

Lake Toba is a large volcanic lake in North Sumatra, with Samosir Island at the center of many visitor routes. A short stay works best with time for the approach journey, lakeside views, and visits connected with Batak heritage. This sample outline uses a lakeside base, a Samosir exploration stage, and a flexible final day rather than a tightly timed circuit around the whole lake.
